Summer Trends of 2021

As life is restoring to normal slowly but surely, fashion is too. So, it is time to put the sweats we’ve been wearing every single day of 2020 back in the closet and start shopping for the coolest summer 2021 trends. I have never been so excited to get dressed for my events this summer whether I am dressing for a fun summery brunch with my friends or a fun date night and drinks, so let’s get started!

ONE. The first trend I want to start with embodies summer vibes. These funky retro 70’s color scheme inspired dresses are not only so fun and colorful but can be worn for a shopping day around town with a pair of sneakers or dressed up with a jacket and sandals for a nice dinner. I am usually not the biggest fan of prints, but seriously I cannot get enough of this trend!! (Found on Zara, Pretty Little Thing, and Tiger Mist)

TWO. Okay the next summer 2021 trend that is perfect for a roof top bar in NYC vibe is scarf tops. Scarf tops can be dressed down or dressed up and there are SO many different options of color and print that they are really made for anyone and everyone. You will truly find yourself on TikTok and Youtube for hours trying to find the coolest way to tie your top because the ways to style it are endless. (Found on Revolve and Princess Polly)

THREE. Another summer trend of 2021 is high heeled flip flops/ square toe heeled sandals. These have literally taken over the Zara website and blown up on TikTok because they are fun and flirty and go with jean shorts for brunch or with a little dress and a blazer for a date night. When scrolling through Instagram, there is not a pair of these sandals that disappoint! (Found on Urban Outfitters, Zara, and Steve Madden)

FOUR. Finally, we have a 2021 summer trend that is simply adorable: puffy sleeves. Puffy sleeves have always given me very Victorian vibes, and was something I wish I could pull off, but always felt like I never could. But this summer after I noticed it becoming more and more popular, I felt bold enough to finally give in. Puffy sleeves are more of a daytime move and are perfect for a shopping day, a nice lunch, or even a city walk through the park. I also love that a puffy sleeve looks cute on a top or on a dress!
