Six Summer Styles That Slay

sixsummerstyleslays.jpg

Summer is wellllll underway. I mean, how is it already mid-July!? So, as the masks come off and the social scene continues on, you’re going to want to make sure your wardrobe is in full swing. Luckily, I got you sis! Here are the top 6 summer trends I’m living for ATM. And trust me, you’re going to want to get on these ASAP.

1. JW PEI bags

Who says bags can’t be trendy and affordable?! JW PEI is slaying the game. This brand literally came out of nowhere and I’m not mad about it. I have the Gabbi Bag in Ivory ($58) and Pink ($60) as well as the Eva Shoulder Bag in Sage Green Croc ($41). I’ve been eyeing the Eva Pride Gradient Shoulder Bag ($59) the Croissant Top Handle Bag in Purple ($79) for a hot sec. Don’t be surprised if you see these bad boys on the feed in the near future.

Disclaimer: they are having a huge S A L E right now! RUN, DON’T WALK.

2. Triangle bikinis, but tied  ~uniquely~

Now, I don’t know about you, but I was shocked to see triangle bikini tops making a comeback. Well, that was until I learned they could be fashioned in 8724951630 ways. If you’re like me and hate wearing the same old bikini, this is the top that you’ve been looking for! And it’s been right in front of you the entire time!!! You can wear the exact same bikini top and nobody’s gonna know (trust me, they're not gonna know). The bikini gods have reallllly blessed us with this hidden hack. I just got this one for myself and she is perfect. I also have this one coming on the way! Here are a couple ideas on how to style for reference:

3. Cottagecore

Beautiful bustiers. Dainty dresses. Flower fields. Picnic parties. Cottagecore is just a whole V I B E. Plus, everyone is guilty of overcomplicating life these days (yes, I’m talking to YOU)! So, let’s get back to the simplicity! It’s time to put on a puffy-sleeved dress and go strawberry picking or on a bike ride. Cottagecore gives you a chance to romanticize your life, and we’re here for it. I kid you not, when I dress up and do these things, I feel like I am living in my own fairytale….and it feels AMAZING. My personal favorite places to shop for cottagecore clothes are For Love and Lemons, House of CB, Strangers+Lovers, and Double the Love. If you’re just starting out on your cottagecore journey I recommend purchasing this little number.

4. Scarves as…….?!??!?

Similar to what I said about the triangle bikini, the scarf is the gift that just keeps on giving! With a bazllion patterns and ways to tie, a scarf can be worn as a shirt, headband, bandana, belt, skirt, bag accessory, and even camera strap (and that’s just what I can think of, there are definitely even more)! Here is my favorite scarf from Princess Polly. It’s reasonably priced at $25 but you can use my code JULES20 @ checkout for 20% off!

5. Old-fashioned prints = new-fashioned prints

I know. I know. Wearing a pattern that was “in” during your grandma’s wonder years doesn’t sound like a move. But c’mon, have I steered you wrong yet!? I am truly obsessing over retro/vintagey prints. If you haven’t already, you NEED to add them to your summer wardrobe. Places like Beginning Boutique and Peppermayo are my go-to’s for this aesthetic. I mean, how cute is this pattern?!

6. 3-piece bikini sets

Last but certainly not least…. I give you the 3-piece bikini set! This is perfect for anything from a local beach day to a vacation in Tulum. Some places sell each matching item separately while others will sell the top, bottom, and sarong as a set. I especially love this one from Frankie’s Bikinis

I could go on and on but I have to save some material for my next Krushandko blog post! I hope these tips and tricks were helpful and will make your #HotGirlSummer even better :) Feel free to follow me on Instagram, @Juliarose, for more fashion inspo!
